Beth Anne Katz

Winter 2012

I’m quiet, and I’m shy.  I’ve been on group trips before and most of the time I sit on the sidelines watching other people have fun.  GREEN is the first time I felt a part of the group.  During my time in Costa Rica, I not only felt like I belonged, but that I become part of a family.  I made so many connections with people, and learned so much about sustainability, life, and myself.  I loved growing academically and emotionally and being pushed through what we did, saw, and warned.  Through the rest of my life, I know I will come back to Costa Rica and always remember everything, Costa Rica and GREEN mean to me.

Summer 2011

Costa Rica is an incredible host to a number of renewable energies. The opportunity to learn about renewable energy and meet other students from different parts of the country is invaluable. I loved working on the capstone project; it was a great and fun way to be creative and use the knowledge gathered over the course of this trip. GREEN was a great combination of fun and education, with the potential to be truly life changing!
