Spencer Frank

Summer 2011

From the first bus ride to the final dinner, GREEN was a life changing experience.  What were unfamiliar faces upon arrival are now friends of mine forever.  I witnessed people grow and mature right in front of my eyes in just twelve days.  The program is a perfect combination of education and adventure just like the cultural rice and beans. I feel fortunate to have been offered the opportunity to go to Costa Rica and learn everything I did there.  Passion for a green lifestyle is difficult to teach, but it is so contagious just being around the natives and the awesome people, who make the program so special.  Pura vida is what they say in Costa Rica, but it is what I will be repeating wherever I go for the rest of my life.  Thank you for opening my eyes GREEN.

"As an engineer I’m really happy to see all the things I did and see how the plants are similar/different and all their mechanisms. I love the go-green attitude of the program, and as an open-minded person I loved meeting locals. This was one of the best experiences of my life!"
